Summit County is Colorado's Playground. Activities abound in every direction and are complemented by breathtaking scenery. Take advantage of the area. Beaver Run Resort's Coneierge is an excellent source of information and can arrange activities for your entire group. Chair Lift Rides Take a scenic ride to the top of the mountain. Wander around the peak, stop in the lodge for lunch or a hot drink and ride down for more spectacluar vistas. Pedestrian lift rides are $10. Cross Country Skiing A wonderful back-country experience you won't want to miss! The Breckenridge Nordic Center is only five minutes away and offers groomed trails for all ability levels. Dog Sledding Mush a team of beautiful Siberian Huskies through forest glades and mountain meadows; a wonderful experience! Transportation provided. Price is approximately $45 per adult. Gambling Blackhawk and Central City, historic towns with limited stakes gabling are 90 mintues away. Aces and Eights Casino Coach provides transportaion, coins for the slot machines and free blackjack match play. Cost is $30 per adult, round-trip. Reservations required. Historical Tours Breckenridge has a rich history and many historical sites. Join knowledgeable guides on walking tours of the histroic District, Washington Gold Mine, Lomax Placer Gulch and the 1875 Edwin Carter Museum. Each tour: $5 per adult. Ice Skating Practice your technique on Maggie Pond or join a hockey game at the ice rink. Skate rentals area available at both locations. Just a few minutes ride to either location via the hotel shuttle. Recreation Breckenridge Recreation Center has a variety of offerings including tennis and racquetball courts, a running track, swimming pool, climbing wall aerobic classes and weight room. Sleigh Rides Enjoy a daytime adventure on a horse-drawn scenic ride. Wildlife sightings are common. Approximate price is $25 per adult. Consider a dinner ride: Sleighs whisper through the snow, traveling pristine forest trails under the stars. Good food and entertainment combine to create a special evening. Transportaion may be arranged. Approximate price is $65 per adult. Snowboarding/Skiing Experience the white gold of Summit County's finest ski resorts: Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin and Copper Mountain. Night skiing is available at Keystone Resort. Free shuttles run between the various mountains. Vail is located 35 miles from Breckenridge and is accessible by limited bus service. Snowmobile Rides Glide through miles of back-country and forests and meadows over groomed trails. Transportation, snow suits, boots and helmets provided. Two-hour tours range from $75 - $120. Snowshoeing If you have yet to try is up-and-coming sport, head to the Nordic Center. It can be a relaxing walk or a great workout, the choice is yours! Five minutes from the resort via the town bus.
